Lauren C. Llorca, Esq. is an Associate Attorney at The Saade Law Firm, P.A. Her practice areas include intellectual property law, landlord-tenant law, and corporate law.
Ms. Llorca has experience with intellectual property transactions including drafting and prosecuting trademark applications before the USPTO. Ms. Llorca’s trademark prosecution experience includes trademark searches, trademark applications, and responding to USPTO Office Actions. Ms. Llorca is also well versed in international copyright policy. While earning her master’s degree from Florida State University, Ms. Llorca performed extensive research into the complexities involved in international copyright law, particularly the World Intellectual Property Organization’s Internet Copyright Treaties.
Ms. Llorca also handles various kinds of transactional matters for both local and international businesses. In addition to drafting transactional documents for her clients in English, Ms. Llorca also drafts and translates a myriad of documents to Spanish for her clients.
Ms. Llorca attended Florida State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in biological anthropology with a minor in Italian studies. Immediately after, Ms. Llorca went on to earn a Master of Science from Florida State University as well in information science with a concentration in international information policy.
Following her four years at Florida State University, Ms. Llorca attended the University of Miami, School of Law where she earned her Juris Doctorate. During her time there, she interned for the Honorable Judge Christina DiRaimondo at the Miami-Dade County Courthouse. Ms. Llorca received honorable recognition from the University of Miami School of Law for completing over 200 Pro Bono hours during her studies.
Ms. Llorca was born in Miami, Florida and has lived in Florence, Italy. She is fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian with some proficiency in Catalan. Ms. Llorca is familiar with both Common and Civil law and has experience performing research and drafting contracts in both jurisdictions.
